What is Indoor Soccer?
For more information, check out the history of Indoor soccer.

"Indoor" soccer is a game derived from association football (soccer) adapted for play in an indoor or outdoor arena such as a turf-covered hockey arena or skating rink. The most important difference in play is that the field is surrounded by a wall instead of touch lines. The ball can be played directly off the wall, which eliminates many frequent stoppages that would normally result for throw-ins, goal kicks and corner kicks, and generally results in a faster paced game. (Source: wikipedia). In Mexico, the sport is known as "Fútbol Rápido" (rapid soccer), in Brazil is called "Futebol Society" or "Showbol" and in Spain is called "Futbol Indoor". It can be played outdoors.
The Idaho Indoor Soccer Association (IISA) and the Idaho Youth Indoor Soccer Association (IYISA) are non profit associations founded to serve the indoor soccer game in Idaho. Our main objectives are (1) to develop the competitive side of indoor soccer by organizing affordable, high quality tournaments and leagues, (2) to certify and develop USIndoor referees and (3) provide scholarships, through our Foundation, to kids who cannot afford to participate in indoor soccer events. IISA was founded in 2008.
